The members of UAW Local 3047, their employer Metalsa of Elizabethtown and members of the management team on behalf of the Make A Wish Foundation would like to thank you for your kind donations. Make A Wish Foundation is a well known organization and this was our opportunity to help a local child. Thanks for everyone's support in reaching our goal.
NEW SPD CHANGES There have been changes in the language and intent with the new SPD. Everyone should have received a copy of the new SPD on cd by now and it should be posted on the Health works website also. The bargaining committee is currently reviewing these changes and have already filed a grievance on the changes that are not outlined in the Global Settlement Agreement. Some of these changes are on the layoff language and how your benefits are effected during a temporary and regular layoff. We encourage everyone to read the new SPD very carefully as there have been many other changes that effect other benefits also like: Medical leaves, STD payments, LTD payments, and insurances that are correct.
